À propos de cette revue

PRAXIS: The Work-Based Learning Journal is a peer-reviewed, open-access publication of Contribution Exchange. It advances Work-Based Learning (WBL) as a transdisciplinary field of inquiry and practice, exploring how knowledge and capability develop through contribution, reflection and recognition.

Focus and Scope

PRAXIS explores contributive epistemology, situated and relational approaches to knowledge, reflective practice, and the systems that recognize learning across contexts. Its scope includes Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Competency-Based Education (CBE) and heutagogical practice.

The journal welcomes empirical research, conceptual scholarship, practitioner inquiry, system design contributions, policy reflection, interviews and field-based evaluations. Contributions should make their purpose and context clear, explain the evidence or reasoning supporting their claims, and identify implications and limitations.

Publication Model

PRAXIS is using an interim Advance Open Publication model while its ISSN assignment is pending. Articles are published as they complete peer review and final editorial preparation. A regular publishing schedule will be established after the ISSN is assigned.

Open Peer Review

Anyone with an interest in a manuscript may contribute to its open peer review. Participation is not restricted by academic credentials, professional designation or institutional affiliation. PRAXIS welcomes theoretical, methodological, practical, community and lived-experience perspectives.

Reviewers are invited to identify their perspective and relevant interests, declare conflicts, and offer constructive feedback on the manuscript's contribution, significance, areas for improvement and readiness for publication. Optional questions allow reviewers to explore particular aspects in greater depth.

Open participation does not require appointment to the journal's OJS reviewer pool. Each open-review call provides manuscript access instructions, a submission route and a closing date. The standard review window is 14 days; any extension is stated in the call.

Editors consider the substance and relevance of feedback and retain responsibility for editorial decisions. Reviews are moderated for relevance, respectful conduct and publication suitability. Reviewers are identified by name in acknowledgements or the published review record only with their consent.

Open Access and Copyright

PRAXIS is a diamond open-access journal. There are no article processing charges (APCs) or access fees. All content is published under a Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 International licence (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). Identifiers and the Publication Record
