About the Journal

PRAXIS: The Work-Based Learning Journal advances Work-Based Learning as a transdisciplinary field of inquiry and practice. It explores how knowledge and capability develop through contribution, reflection and recognition across workplaces, communities and other contexts of practice.

PRAXIS brings research, practitioner inquiry and system-level contributions into dialogue. Within the Contribution Exchange ecosystem, the journal provides a space to examine the ideas, evidence and infrastructures that make learning visible, trusted and portable.

Through open peer review, PRAXIS welcomes perspectives from researchers, practitioners, learners, employers and communities. Participation is not restricted by academic status or institutional affiliation.

Current Issue

Vol. 1 (2025): Advance Online Publication
PRAXIS The Work-Based Learning Journal 2025 Vol. 1, AOP

This inaugural issue of PRAXIS: The Work-Based Learning Journal follows a continuous publication model. Articles are published online as soon as they complete the journal’s applicable open peer-review and editorial processes, rather than being held until the full issue is assembled.

Additional contributions may be added to the issue throughout the publication period until the issue is formally closed. Together, the works published in Volume 1 contribute to the developing scholarly and practitioner discourse on how learning emerges through contribution, reflection, recognition, and situated practice.

Each published contribution forms part of PRAXIS's permanent scholarly record and receives its own persistent citation metadata and Digital Object Identifier (DOI), where applicable.

Publication Note

Volume 1 was established during PRAXIS's inaugural publication period, while the journal completed its initial registration and serial-identification processes. Articles were released through continuous publication as they completed review and editorial preparation.
